SAP HANA Database Monitoring & Alerting

As Database administrators, we need to actively monitor the system status and its services and the consumption of system resources. However, we received alerts about critical situations, for example, a disk is becoming full, CPU usage is reaching a critical level, or a server has stopped.

SAP HANA database internal monitoring infrastructure continuously collects and evaluates information about status, performance and resource usage from all components of the SAP HANA Database.

Alerts are displayed according to the following time periods:

Time PeriodAlerts Displayed
Last 15 minutes, last 30 minutes, last hour, last 2 hours, and todayAlerts generated in the corresponding time period are shown. If an alert was generated 10 minutes ago, it appears under all these headings.
YesterdayOnly alerts that were generated yesterday are shown.
Last weekOnly alerts generated during the previous week (Sunday to Saturday) are shown.
Two weeks ago, and so onOnly alerts generated during that week are displayed.

To find specific alerts we can do a search in the alert tab by entering the word in the Filter field like OOM or High CPU
